What I Am Learning & Quotes

Reflect upon the things that you are learning and experiencing so far in this course. What are you looking forward to learning and experiencing? What did you learn from the readings and videos this week? 
I have enjoyed learning this week about what it takes to be a great entrepreneur.  The book called Mastery, had made me a believer in the plateaus in our lives are when we learn and grow the most.  Some plateaus take longer than others to go through, but eventually, we will master that portion and continue to grow.  This was reiterated in the video "A Heroes Journey", he said, a"become great at something to succeed...find out what your gifts and callings are." Also, "learn how to learn."  Isn't that what we do in life anyways?  If we aren't learning anymore, then we definitely are no longer progressing.  If we can invest and find out what our true calling in life is, then we can hopefully turn that into a gift and job.
I am looking forward to discovering what my gifts are because as a mom, they are hard for me to see.  As I have gotten older, I have come to realize that my patience is thinning out more than it used to.  I definitely wish that my gift could be patience.  That would be a great experience of being lucky enough to gain some patience back.

Thoughts this week 8- The readings and videos were both really interesting this week, however, I particularly enjoyed the readings.  Elder Holland and President Monson both had excellent talks.  The point and greatest lesson I took away was perseverance in spite of what challenges life throws at us.   Taylor Richards in the video You Can Do Anything, says that we should keep moving forward and do the right things but always remember to involve the Lord. He also said don't ever under estimate yourself or the Lord. I think that if we can remember these aspects throughout our lives it will help when we end up facing trials.  David Carrington said we normally find the problems to solutions instead of finding the solution to the problem. Week 13 Thoughts and Quotes

Thoughts: This weeks readings continue to solidify my stance on how we should balance or lives and the directions we need to go to make that happen.  What I’ve noticed from reading and watching the videos is figuring out where you are at in your life and the struggle to decide which direction is best to get you to where you want to be.  As always, making goals are a huge part of that.  Most of the advice I’ve noticed throughout the semester and especially this week in watching the videos is in regards to starting things out right out of college.  Most videos agree to start with an enterprise to get your feet wet before moving on to your life’s greatest desires.  They caution to make a job fun!  Don’t go into career knowing you are going to hate it but struggle to get through it for a few years.  You should take a job that matters to you and that you will enjoy. Week 6 What I Am Learning and Quotes

Week 6 insights: The readings were so great and informative this week.  The Harvard paper was lengthy, but some of the information was really great.  Learning about the many ways one can create their own business venture.  Such as, taking a product and making it better.  Buying out an already existing venture and making it your own.  Starting a new venture from scratch, and creating a new venture based on a product that is new and being developed. I have enjoyed reading the book, Mastery.  It makes me want to take Aikido.  The self discipline, determination, and skills necessary to succeed in becoming a master is intriguing.  Through practice and time, we can take our ventures and turn them into a masterpiece.  It is through repetition and striving to obtain the highest satisfaction that we can obtain greatness.  The only way to achieve a master status, is to remember that we need to continue and open ourselves up to learning.
